Optional extras

Finish the job properly

Add any of these to your clean. We'll recommend what's worth doing for your driveway when we quote.

Re-sanding block paving

Jet washing washes out the sand between blocks. We refill the joints with kiln-dried sand to lock the blocks in place and help keep weeds out.

Sealing

A protective sealant helps bring out the colour, resists stains and slows down moss and weeds, so the driveway stays cleaner for longer.

Weed and moss treatment

A follow-up treatment that kills off remaining spores and roots to slow regrowth.

Stain treatment

Targeted treatment for oil, rust and tyre marks before the main clean.

Questions

Driveway cleaning FAQs

How long does it take?

Most driveways take around 4 to 6 hours, so we usually book a full day. Larger driveways, or ones with re-sanding and sealing, can take longer.

Do I need to be home?

No. As long as we can get onto the driveway and use an outside tap or other water source, you're free to get on with your day.

Do I need to move my car?

Yes please. We ask that all vehicles are moved off the driveway before we arrive, so we can clean the whole surface evenly and nothing gets splashed. If that's tricky, let us know when you book and we'll work something out.

Will jet washing damage my block paving?

Not when it's done properly. It does wash out some of the sand between the blocks, which is why we recommend re-sanding afterwards to keep the blocks firm and weeds out.

When can I park on it again?

Once it's dry, which is usually the same day. If you've had it sealed, we'll tell you how long to keep cars off it.

How often should a driveway be cleaned?

It depends on how shaded it is and how much traffic it gets, but most driveways benefit from a clean every year or two. Sealing helps it stay cleaner for longer.
